Understanding the Climates of San Bernardino County

While most of San Bernardino County has a warm, sunny climate with little rain, there are huge regional variations. In Ontario, the mean daily maximum reaches a toasty 95 degrees in July. In Big Bear City, the average low in January is a freezing 21 degrees. In the city of San Bernardino, you may experience a 30-degree temperature difference in a single day throughout spring, summer, and fall.

At Cal Star Mobile Home Construction, we always consider local requirements when servicing mobile homes in San Bernardino County.

Weather Resistance

Whether you need to keep out the heat or the cold, structural integrity in your mobile home is key. Once your home starts to experience wear and tear, it may struggle to withstand the elements. Our professional technicians can get it back in shape by caulking cracks, repairing leaks, adding insulation, and upgrading exterior doors and windows.

HVAC Services

Depending on where you are in San Bernardino County, HVAC systems may be essential to your comfort and even your safety. We can install a new AC or heating system, repair your existing unit, or perform regular HVAC maintenance to ensure you have climate control when you need it.

Reliable HVAC systems are especially important to older people, who are often more vulnerable to changes in temperature. Because many of our customers are seniors, we understand the special needs of these homeowners.

Energy Efficiency

No matter where you live in San Bernardino County, you can’t avoid one key fact: California has some of the highest utility prices in the nation. In addition, utilities can cost up to 50 percent more for a manufactured home than a similarly sized site-built home. If your mobile home isn’t energy efficient, you are probably wasting money every month.

Thankfully, you can take steps to lower your energy bills and help you achieve more sustainable living. Call Cal Star Mobile Home Construction to perform needed repairs, weatherproof your home, service your HVAC systems, and install more energy-efficient windows, doors, lighting, fixtures, and appliances.

Foundation Repair

Because of the two active faults running through the region, inland Southern California is highly susceptible to earthquakes. This means many mobile homes in San Bernardino County experience earthquake damage to their foundations.

If you’ve noticed squeaky floors, cracked walls, or gaps around your windows, our releveling services can help. We can inject grout to lift concrete slabs, install piers to support settling foundations, improve drainage and grading to prevent water damage, and waterproof the foundation to protect it from moisture.
