Mobile Home Kitchen Remodeling From a Mobile Home Specialist

Cabinets, counters, plumbing, and wiring all connect to how a manufactured home is built. Cal Star remodels kitchens with the structure and systems in mind, not just the finishes.

Why Homeowners Remodel

Reasons Homeowners Remodel

Kitchens in the homes we work on are often original, which means the finishes and the systems behind them are the same age.

  • Cabinets sagging, delaminating, or pulling off the wall
  • Counters and sinks past cosmetic repair
  • A layout with almost no usable counter or storage space
  • A soft floor near the sink or dishwasher
  • Outlets and circuits that cannot handle modern appliances
  • Plumbing under the sink that has leaked more than once

What's Included

What a Cal Star Kitchen Remodel Includes

One crew handles the cabinets, plumbing, electrical, and flooring, so the pieces that depend on each other get sequenced correctly.

  • Cabinets & Storage

Cabinets fitted to mobile home wall construction and secured into real backing, with storage that suits a narrower floor plan.

  • Counters & Sinks

Countertops and sinks chosen for the weight the cabinets and floor can carry, then installed and sealed to last.

  • Plumbing Updates

Supply lines, drains, and shut-off valves under the sink replaced while the space is already open.

  • Electrical for Appliances

Circuits, outlets, and GFCI protection updated for the appliances that are actually going in.

  • Subfloor & Flooring

Water damage near the sink or dishwasher repaired before new flooring is installed over it.

  • Layout Improvements

Practical changes that add counter and storage space without moving what cannot reasonably be moved.

Why It Matters

Structure and Systems Come Before Finishes

In a manufactured home, cabinets do not simply screw into a stud wall, counters add weight that the boxes and floor have to carry, and the plumbing and wiring behind them were installed to different standards than a site-built kitchen. Making a kitchen look good is the easy part. Making it stay solid takes knowing how the home is put together.

That is also why we do not treat a kitchen remodel as purely cosmetic. If the floor near the sink is soft or the circuits will not carry a new appliance, it gets addressed as part of the job. Cal Star does foundation, plumbing, and electrical work in these homes every week, so none of it gets subbed out or skipped.

FAQ

Kitchen Remodeling Questions, Answered

Is remodeling a mobile home kitchen different from a house kitchen?

Yes. Wall construction, cabinet attachment, floor framing, and weight limits all differ, and the plumbing and wiring are routed differently. Work that is routine in a site-built kitchen can cause real damage here.

Can I get a full remodel, or only cabinet replacement?

Either. Some homeowners replace cabinets and counters; others redo the whole kitchen including plumbing, electrical, and flooring. We scope it to what you want done.

Can you add counter or storage space?

Often yes, within what the layout allows. We will be straight with you about which runs and walls can reasonably change and which cannot.

Do you repair the floor if it is soft near the sink?

Yes. A soft floor there is usually a slow leak. We find the source, repair the subfloor, and then install the new flooring.
