Deck & Patio Construction
Decks, Stairs, Ramps & Patio Covers Built for Mobile Homes
Steps and decks are the part of a mobile home you use every single day, and the part that tends to fail first. Cal Star rebuilds them solid, level, and safe.

Warning Signs
Signs Your Deck or Stairs Need Work
Outdoor structures on a mobile home take sun, weather, and daily traffic. Most of the deck work we do starts with one of these.
- Steps that flex, wobble, or feel unsafe
- Soft, splintered, or rotted boards
- Railings that move when you lean on them
- A deck pulling away from the home
- Rusted or bent support posts and hardware
- No safe handrail, or no ramp where one is needed
What We Build
What Cal Star Builds & Repairs
Attaching to a manufactured home is not the same as attaching to a stud wall on a slab. We build so the structure carries its own load properly.
New Decks & Porches
Freestanding and attached decks built around the home, the lot, and how you actually use the space.
Stairs & Steps
Replacement stairs with even risers, solid footing, and a handrail that will genuinely hold weight.
Wheelchair & Access Ramps
Ramps built at a usable slope with proper landings and railings, for homeowners who need dependable access.
Railings & Handrails
Railings replaced or added where they are loose, missing, or no longer safe to rely on.
Patio Covers & Shade
Patio covers and shade structures sized for the lot and anchored for sun and wind exposure.
Repairs & Board Replacement
Targeted repairs when the framing and supports are sound and only the surface has failed.
Why It Matters
This Is a Safety Repair, Not a Cosmetic One
A set of steps is the first and last thing you use every day. When treads flex and a railing moves, the risk is real — and for the older homeowners who make up much of who we work for, a fall on bad steps changes everything. This is the repair we most often wish someone had called about sooner.
There is a construction difference too. A deck attached to a manufactured home has to account for how the home is supported, or the deck ends up pulling on the home itself as the two settle differently. Cal Star builds this work to hold up, handles permits where they are required, and gives free estimates.

FAQ
Deck & Patio Construction Questions, Answered
Can you build a wheelchair ramp for a mobile home?
Yes. We build access ramps at a usable slope with proper landings and handrails, which matters far more than simply adding a slope beside the existing steps.
Do deck projects need a permit?
Some do, depending on size, height, and the jurisdiction or the park. We will tell you what your project needs during the estimate.
Can you repair my deck instead of replacing it?
If the framing and supports are sound, often yes. If the structure underneath has failed, rebuilding is safer and frequently not much more expensive.
Do you work within park requirements?
Yes. Many communities have their own rules on size, placement, and appearance, and we build within them rather than around them.
